Vou colocar dois casos, por que achei um pouco confusa a pergunta
CASO 1:
(x² - 9x + 5) - (3x² - 7 - 1)
x² - 9x + 5 - 3x² + 7 + 1
x² - 3x² - 9x + 5 + 7 + 1
-2x² - 9x + 13
CASO 2:
(x² - 9x + 5) - (3x² - 7x - 1)
x² - 9x + 5 - 3x² + 7x + 1
x² - 3x² - 9x + 7x + 5 + 1
-2x² - 2x + 6
No "CASO 2" imaginei você ter esquecido de colocar o "x" depois do 7, por isso fiz das duas formas...
x= 4
CASO 1
-2x² - 9x + 13
-2.(4²) - (9.4) + 13
(-2 . 16) - 36 + 13
-32 - 36 + 13
-68 + 13
-55
CASO 2
-2x² - 2x + 6
-2.(4²) - (2.4) + 6
(-2 . 16) - 8 + 6
-32 -8 + 6
-40 + 6
